When I was growing up my mom tried and tried to get me to sit down and crochet with her. I didn't want to learn. It was boaring and to frustrating. I didn't have the patients to learn something that I didn't want to do.
About 5 years ago I had three friends that were pregnant at the same time and I wanted to do something for them. So my mom was patient and sat down with me to teach me how to crochet. I couldn't beleive how easy it was to pick up. So I learned so much in a short period of time. Learning to read a crochet pattern was a bit difficult, but once I was able to understand what the abbreviations meant I was set to go.
My mom and I have always dreamt of having our own shop. One that we can display the things we have worked on and things that are currently on sale. Until then we just plan on doing craft shows that are local. I would like to share with you a few things that we have done.
I also got into making jewelry for kids. My daughter just had to have a necklace and bracelet like mommy. So I grabbed my beads that my mom bought me a couple of years ago in a thrift store. So I made her two or three of each. Then my son wanted some. So I just rolled with it and before I knew there were tons of sets done! Here are a few of those.
I have thought of setting up an etsy account or adding a store page here. If you would like to see more things we have a Facebook page called "Like Mother Like Daughter." The link will be down below.
